Alexandra Timber Tramway & Museum
The Alexandra Timber Tramway and Museum is a tourist railway and museum situated in north-central Victoria. There you can see a recreation of the bush sawmill and tramway era of the Rubicon Forest from 1900 to 1950. We have also rescued and preserved a wide range of industrial locomotives, rolling stock and machinery.

The Railway Museum has on display the largest collection of Victorian Railways steam locomotives. There are more than 15 different locomotives, ranging from the diminutive F class up to the H class, the largest locomotive to operate in Victoria. Come and see the evolution of steam power on the railways.

Ballarat Tramway Museum
The Museum operates our trams in Wendouree Parade beside Lake Wendouree in the Botanic Gardens every Saturday, Sunday, public holiday and during the Victorian school holidays between 12.30pm and 5pm throughout the year. Catch a tram from any of the tram stops indicated by the yellow signs beside the poles with red and white markings. They are at several locations along the line. -------------- Ride an authentic Ballarat tram [some over 100 years old] which ran Ballarat's public transport until 1971. Buy real tickets from our volunteers in authentic uniforms. Travel 1.3km of original track through the beautiful Botanical Gardens on the west side of Lake Wendouree. Return trip 20 minutes.

Coal Creek - Count Strzelecki
The Coal Creek Community Park and Museum Bush Tramway is a narrow gauge railway similar to many that operated in mining and forestry areas in the late 1800s and early 1900s to transport timber to the mines for pit - props, coal from the mines to the railhead, or timber from the forest to the timber mill. It has been built maintained and operated by a volunteer group, and is a popular attraction at Coal Creek Community Park and Museum.

Diamond Valley Railway
One of Australia's finest, passenger carrying, minature railways. It's a great day out for the whole family. ocated within Eltham Lower Park which is located within the Nillumbik Shire Council. The bushland setting of this park includes two adventure playgrounds, both with covered barbeque areas and tables and accessible toilets. Extensive walking paths span the park and run through the railway and down to the Yarra River where there is an observation platform and impressive bridge across the river.

Melbourne Tram Car Preservation Society
The Aims and Objectives of the Melbourne Tramcar Preservation Association are: • To preserve and restore selected examples of Melbourne trams. • To construct and operate a demonstration tramway. • To encourage an awareness of the coachwork methods used in the construction of these wooden bodied tramcars, with the viewing of such trams under overhaul by visitors to the site. In these days when modern vehicles are of metal and fibreglass construction, the retention of skills associated with coachwork restoration and rebuilding are one of the main functions of our group.

Mornington Railway is a heritage broadgauge railway operating in the Mornington Peninsula between Moorooduc and Mornington. We have both Steam and Diesel heritage broadgauge locomotives and heritage passenger cars. Running days are normally the first three Sundays of each month. FEATURES: MORNINGTON PARKING: Free parking is available at all three stations for rail patrons only. Moorooduc car park closes at 5pm. Mornington car park closes at 4pm. ‘Owner onus’ applies. REFRESHMENTS & SOUVENIRS BBQ: light refreshments, tea and coffee and a selection of souvenirs are available on Moorooduc Station. COURTESY BUS: A shuttle bus service operates on some days between Mornington Station and key locations in the Mornington township. Refer web site and Facebook for days when this service is operating. Portland Cable Trams scenic ride
Portland’s Historic Tramway is based on the Melbourne Cable Tram System of 1885 to 1940. Portland's Cable Tram provides a ride along the picturesque Portland Bay foreshore, while also visiting many historic destinations and some of Portland's best tourist attractions along the way. The tram travels along 4 kilometres of track with spectacular views of the Portland Bay area being a highlight. The round trip of 8 kilometres takes I hour to complete and there are 5 trips per day, 7 days per week.

Red Cliffs Historical Steam Railway DSCF1502
Experience one of the great little train rides in Australia. The Red Cliffs Historical Steam Railway was formed in 1994 under the auspices of the Red Cliffs Rotary Club to operate the restored Kerr Stuart 0-4-2T steam locomotive named 'Lukee' B/N 742/1901, that formerly operated between Red Cliffs railway station and the Red Cliffs pumping station. A 1.6 kilometre section of the former 1600 millimetre gauge Red Cliffs. Morkalla branch line has been converted to 610 millimetre gauge for tourist train operation.

Come and join us on a steam train trip from Melbourne on the mainline broad gauge rail network in Victoria. Subject to fireban restrictions, our heritage air-conditioned train is pulled by Ex Victorian Railways steam locomotive R707 'City of Melbourne' and run under the Vintage Rail Travel brand. For your convenience most of our steam train rides are run on a Sunday.

Seymour Railway Heritage Centre
The Seymour Railway Heritage Centre Inc. (SRHC) is a volunteer based, not for profit organisation which restores and preserves Victoria’s railway heritage and operates heritage trains on the main line as regularly as possible. SRHC was formed in 1983 by a group of railwaymen from the former Seymour Locomotive Depot which was closed under rationalisation of rail services in Victoria. The unique skills and knowledge attained over the years was put to good use in forming the SRHC and lobbying the Victorian Government for acquisition of locomotives and rollingstock to be preserved in the interests of Victoria’s railway heritage and Australian railway heritage generally.
