Come and explore Victoria's Birthplace by the sea aboard the Portland Cable Tram. Travel along Portland's historic foreshore and discover four of our most famous tourist attractions. Enjoy breathtaking views of Portland Bay whilst aboard our fully restored saloon and grip cars.

The Portland Cable Tram Depot is more than just a tram stop. Housing a museum of historic local artefacts, featuring a local gemstone display, local model railway club display and gift shop.
Trams run every day with the exception of Christmas Day. Trams do not run in the morning on ANZAC Day & Good Friday.
Tickets can be purchased at the Portland Cable Trams Depot or from the Conductor when you board the tram.

About Portland Cable Trams
Portland’s Historic Tramway is based on the Melbourne Cable Tram System of 1885 to 1940.
Portland's Cable Tram provides a ride along the picturesque Portland Bay foreshore, while also visiting many historic destinations and some of Portland's best tourist attractions along the way.
The tram travels along 4 kilometres of track with spectacular views of the Portland Bay area being a highlight. The round trip of 8 kilometres takes I hour to complete and there are 5 trips per day, 7 days per week.
