Tramway Heritage Centre Bylands
Situated in the picturesque Great Dividing Range, the Tramway Heritage Centre showcases a large collection of over 40 trams from all aspects of Victoria’s tramway history from Horse-drawn trams, Cable trams and Electric trams and many buses that serviced Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat and Adelaide.
The Tramway Museum Society of Victoria Incorporated has been preserving trams and related infrastructure since 1963.
In this time we have collected Melbourne cable trams, electric trams from across Australia, buses and work trucks from Melbourne and tramway related items of interest.
We run the Tramway Heritage Centre in Bylands where most of our cable trams, electric trams, buses and collectables are housed.
The TMSV also produces a bi-monthly publication “Running Journal” which is available on our site along with historical articles highlighting the way things were.
